Gentlemen (and I use the term loosely): There is nothing wrong with criticizing and correcting anyone who makes an erroneous post. The problem lies in the way it is done. Constructive criticism can be undertaken without resorting to personal insults or pseudo threats regardless of our individual opinions of others. These sorts of vulgar personal attacks are the reasons that the original SubTalk was shut down in the first place and I fear if this type of activity continues on this forum it will be shut down also. We have a forum where various topics and opinions can be discussed and it it is hoped that they can be discussed with a certain degree of intelligence and decorum. If you have an issue with an individual who makes an erroneous post regardless of how inane it might seem, all you need to do is make the appropriate correction if you know it, or perhaps indicate that there is someone with the appropriate knowledge who does post here and who could perhaps provide the correct information. |
