I don't necessarily agree the tires are the best reef (although they did completely increase fish life in the areas where they are). The problem with tires is that they don't disintergrate, so yes, I can see a problem, especially if the reef begins to dislodge, and random tires float away.As for metal subway cars, they do disappear - eventually, and so long as the chemicals like oil, etc are removed, there aren't long term effects. |
