The Type 8s are not being run in passenger service on the D branch because the T is concerned that they will de-rail on the high-speed Riverside branch tracks. Of course they use those tracks in order to get to from the delivery point at Riverside Yard to Reservoir Car House, but that is usually after the T is shut down. |
