That was basically what they did when Parsons-Archer opened (without the pointing). ;-)I was working midnights on the J the pick the TA began qualifying crews on the Archer Avenue lines. Crews would report to 121 and ride a J relay down to Parsons. Then they would go upstairs and qualify on the E portion of the line, return to Parsons and finish up with a trip back to 121. IIRC, we did the same thing when 63rd Street opened. Report to 57/6, operate a train up to 21st Street and the TSS pointed out the various moves that could be made and the lay-up tracks at Lex. |
