I was never one for "subway obsessions" unless I wanted to KILL someone in downtown Brooklyn for causing me to lose a job for "too late, too often." :(Never knew too much about where things went since they were unfortunately before my time ... and whilst as a kid I *loved* the subways, pretty much only rode what was "visible" to me living west of Broadway in the Bronx for most of my life, with a brief stint on Webster and another on Sedgewick ... 4 train, D train, 1 train, A train. Not much else ever mattered to me - you crossed Bronx Park/Mosholu to White Plains Road to DIE. BX12, 'nuff said. Heh. THANKS for the rest, rode the third avenue el down to Fordham and caught a train into the spur to look at flowers and such, took the bus BACK from da zoo since it was "over there" ... well ... any BRONX boy learns to HATE beese because it's always a slow drag from one place to the other whilst the SUBWAY or the EL got ya downtown faster than any bus CROSS town. :) Seriously though ... thanks for pointing at what I didn't quite know. Can't wait until Unca Joe catches this and provides all the details. Though he ain't impressed with this place, every now and then something happens here where we can actually convince him to "leave prints" ... heh. I suspect he will, and HOPE so! |
