Agreed ... but STILL ... *IF* this turns out to be true, an engineer, T/O, whatever has no business texting while pounding the road in the first place. And I can state from personal experience how boring it gets doing milk runs on the same iron day after day, routine after routine, X563 clear, etc ... you do NOT take your eyes off the iron for a second. Because it will be THAT second where you screw up. :(What I take from this (again, we don't know if this is true or not) is that simply on the basis of this story, you know they're already scheduling "Special High Intensity Training" for everyone as I type, along with multiple bulletins and supplements on the way. :( ... and any railfan who can't figure out "thou shalt not distract" perhaps might need the lesson. Sorry to be so hard on this ... |
