Last I heard there were four (704,706,708, and 710). Elson at the TTC site reported that he had experienced A/C problems (he was drenched with water while sitting under one) on 710 and then he reported that 710 was taken out of service to fix the A/C. But IINM he's also reported that ALL of the Breda's seem to have the same problem with water leaking from the A/C.It looks like we'll have enough Breda's for the east la extension to open next spring or summer, but we'll need the 50 car option in order to have enough cars for Expo to fully open. I wonder if we'll ever order those cars? I haven't heard that we have given up and are going out for another bid. We'll need to order a couple hundred cars over the next 12 years for the new lines and service increases. Maybe we should look at other vendors? |
