Posted by BMT Standard on Thu Jul 10 13:31:05 2008 I know that New Yorkers, who are not accustomed to being able to take the Subway all the way to the airport terminal, might not think that this is a big deal, but here in the Windy City, with 'L' service to both airports, it is.The CTA Blue Line is not running to O'Hare for several weeks to allow for track repairs. Quote from a Chicago Tribnue article: Many travelers learned the hard way Wednesday that CTA trains to O'Hare wouldn't get them all the way to the airport. It was sort of like buying an airline ticket to Honolulu and being asked by flight attendants to swim the last mile to Waikiki Beach. |
