ARC didn't answer it, back then; they proposed connecting Tracks 1 through 5 (and "reconfiguring" them), though, and they drew a few pictures that aren't coming up on the Wayback Machine right now.(Aren't the NYP tracks a lot deeper than 20 feet below street level? That's how they appear here, with a 12' 8" tall passenger car for comparison; GCT's upper level is a lot shallower, and you can see where the 8th Avenue Subway crosses over, in relation. Maybe that ought to answer your question.) |
