I still don't understand why they just won't remove the Blue from the Orange line via M street Subway...

The answer is pretty simple. $$,$$$,$$$,$$$.¢¢. A cheaper solution is to procure more rolling stock and run close headways. At present time WMATA is only exploiting the train control and signaling system to half its designed capability.

Granted..Georgetown didn't want a subway in the first place...

I wish this myth would die.

...but now since they don't have much choice...why NOT do it?
