This has been posted before, but it's significant news, so well worth discussing. Don't worry about reposting.Construction costs are skyrocketing and the citizens want the subway built within the budget available (otherwise there's no subway at all). The three-track 72nd St design is nice to have but by no means mandatory for the most important SAS service patterns. A few of the obsessive types here might bellyache about it, but most people don't care. They care that the train line gets built, and reducing the size of the station will save a huge amount of money.. |
