Went there, didn't partake. Folks on this side of the puddle will NEVER get it, but it's quite YOUR "Nathan's" :)Fortunately, I live in (just to complete the hysterics) the TOWN OF NEW SCOTLAND, Albany county. Heh. Getting fine single-malts, Walker's shortbread and marmelade and all is a cinch. However finding decent SCONES, fuggedabouddit. :( But I'm not into that much - I'm more Tex-Mex, Carribean and French dining myself. And we've got a Chinese place to DIE for - and I say that as someone who lived in the city - the folks here in town can kick ANY NYC Chinese restaurant's BUTT. Ed Koch WAS wrong ... sure the guys up here where gingham kilts ... but there *IS* Chinese food upstate. It just ain't to be had in ALBANY. (grin) |
