I do not see how such a locomotive is practical, never mind possible. You're trying to justify pork spending, and I mean true pork (experimental versus proven technology, for almost unlimited dollars and little benefit when all is said and done, especially compared to actually electrifying the remaining diesel-only corridors, which would be money far better spent). It's not good practice to turn a transit company into a test bed for unlimited spending. |
