On the morning of June 30 1968, there was a trainmaster, Chris Callaghan on duty at the 50/6 tower. I had known Chris for quite some time and I was a BMT towerman so although the 50 St interlocking machine is usually kept on automatic, Chris placed it on manual when the first B train arrived. I then manually lined the first B into 57 St, and boarded it to ride it into 57 St. |
