That's true, but remember that politicians benefit a great deal by having MTA as a heat shield. It's a great thing to be a political leader when you can pretend that someone else is accountable for all sorts of things.Then again, who was the last NY Governor who did budgeting straight? I've heard decent things about Carey, but it's been a long time since then. |
