The last thing they need is a population explosion.Actually, we do need a population explosion. British agriculure operates at huge surpluses with huge subsidies and impoverished farmers (our agriculture only meets 60% of its own costs). It would be better to go with the market and build on agricultural land in strategic locations. I could see an UK with a population of 100 million no problem. |
