Better than none at all, 'specially with the NIMBY's that will be all over dat "bringing the EEEEEEEEvil trains back", regardless of the bennys of it.... In regards to the Reading service, should the Berks And Reading Transportation Authority (BARTA) not get their funding source(s)in order, SEPTA could end the service at Pottstown, laying a few storage tracks in the emptiness that was Stowe Yard on the west edge of Montgomery County. Best scenario is, of course, going to Reading, but Berks County isn't known for it's transportation policy, or political connections. IMO that's how we lost the Reading service in the 80's, despite increasing ridership :o( |
