Going from Mattapan to Ashmont prior to 1928 was slow street running along River St. and Dorchester Av. with a change of cars at Milton Carhouse. Compared to that a Type 5 on the High Speed Line was damn fast. The cars are about twice as fast as the substitute bus service. |
