I believe him because of what is happening to photographers all over the country. Note that the cop gave him a ticket for "videotaping without a permit" - video is clearly allowed by 1050.9(c).As for detention - some photographers have already been detained for questioning and have settled for several thousands of dollars: Detained Seattle Photographer Settles for $8K Another pending lawsuit A filmmaker who sued the NYPD and won If NYPD wants to waste more taxpayer dollars then by all means arrest him.... Photography is Not A Crime!!! |
