Yeah, believe it or not, some of these photos bring back childhood memories. I remember when there were still plenty of yellow(and a blue popped up sometimes) K cars in work service, though i guess that wasn't all that long ago. I have an intimate history with some of those places. Especially that perch from where he took the fourth photo. The tracks without third rail are freight tracks. It is used quite frequently now to move trains and reverse them to another track, but it wasn't always used so frequently. Used to have regular type trains instead of containers. What are in those gray and blue containers anyways?Was always interesting to see a freight train when it popped up though. |
