And the thing is, two doors per side is NO BIG DEAL when it comes to loading and unloading. the older cars with two doors are better becasue they have more passenger space.

Three doors have no big advantage. Plus you can have more seats with two doors.

BMT standards were 67 feet long, and had but three doors, and were used when transit had more usage. This dor nonsense is just that: Nonsense. They should rebuild some 60 footers with more seats, and three doors per side, the doors would be asymetrically spaced, but that would be OK.
