Posted by JournalSquare-K-Car on Wed May 7 21:32:42 2008, in response to Re: Obama's quote on railū ''We should be expanding rail service'', posted by #5 - Dyre Ave on Wed May 7 21:22:15 2008. there isn't much pressure in canada and austrailia for high speed rail.I believe he will follow through, BUT, he has a lot of chit to clean up when he becomes president, so it won't be #1 agenda, and rail hasn't been #1 agenda for over a century now, which is somewhat a good thing, but the fact that it is almost the last in line is a bad thing. I would like to see education cleaned up, as well as healthcare, rail should follow. I love rail more than anyone else, but those two areas are in dire need right now for better funding, and budgeting. |
