I'm afraid that appears to be impossible. As far as I can tell from the Regional Connector alternatives every alternative revolves around a junction around Little Tokyo station south of LAUPT on the East LA extension. I would say its a safe bet that only one alternative will be constructed, and that both the Blue and Expo lines will use it to reach Union Station from 7th and Flower. If the Regional Connector is built with one of the alternatives above then Union Station will undoubtedly be on the same branch as whatever line goes to Pasadena. The only swing station as it were is the Little Tokyo station, which either ends up on the East LA or Pasadena lines, depending on which alternative you choose. For alternatives 1, 4, and 5 Little Tokyo would be on the Pasadena route, while 2, 3, and 7 place it on the East LA route. Alternatives 6 and 8 create what looks like a subway junction just south of the current site of the Little Tokyo station, eliminating the station in favor of a portal and creating a new station two to three blocks southwest. These two alternatives are clearly drawn up with the possibility of through-running, but the other alternatives likely would not rule it out so long as the track layout allowed for the proper turns to be made.

Unfortunately under any of the alternatives a through running arrangement requires any route not serving Pasadena to avoid Union Station. I'd definitely prefer alternatives 6 and 8 because the possibility would exist for a flying junction between the Pasadena and East LA routes. The Little Tokyo replacement station would form a nice turnback point, allowing access to Union Station and points north from the East LA line with minimal backtracking. If one of the surface alternatives were selected then Little Tokyo station could always be rebuilt or relocated to provide either a convenient turnback station or a transfer. It's possible the junction could be a little like a smaller Rose Quarter, with platforms on both the East LA and Pasadena routes in close proximity to each other.
