That's just about it - I recall this famous quote that the physicist Richard Feynman made in being awarded a Nobel Prize when a reporter wanted him to explain in a few words what his winning work was, and Feynman responded with something like, 'If I could explain it to you in a few words, then I shouldn't have gotten the Nobel Prize for it!' Without a certain background and motivation, his general approach seems correct.

Feynman made his comment in the 1960s and years later the economist James Tobin ended up embarrassing himself in commenting on his Nobel to the press answering the same sort of question roughly by, 'Well, it's based on the idea that you shouldn't put all of your eggs in one basket except it's more detailed.' Well, you can imagine how that went over in the press!
