There are two trains serving local stops on Queens Boulevard at normal times. There is one train serving local stops on Fourth Avenue at normal times. Ergo: Queens needs more service than Brooklyn on those particular tracks.*IF* the (V) or some other service is not running in Queens the suggestion was to add more (R) trains, and maybe turn them at Whitehall, since the do not appear to be needed in Brooklyn. Of course, simply running the (V) 16/7 also fills this need and offers more flexibility. ROAR |
