I like the ideas Lion proposed a lot. The W should be a full-time train in Astoria anyway once the SAS is built to at least 96th, and the N and Q could both serve second avenue until the line goes south of 63rd.

After the SAS line is complete, if by then the Rockaway-Queens Super Express branch (that has been suggested in other threads) is also built, then I would look at perhaps making the N and a new K train the two lines on this route that would (as noted in previous threads) come into Manhattan via a new tunnel that would allow for a new station in Manhattan on 79th street and York-1st Avenues before then stopping under what will by then be the SAS station at 72nd/2nd before this branch splits up, with the K joining the T on the SAS to Water Street and the N joining the Q to 63rd/Lex and then the Broadway Line.
