I suppose if you believed in distance based tolls, you could charge $2 for the Howard Beach Leg and $5 for the Jamaica leg.In a way, the uniform price makes the LIRR comparatively less expensive, in that $5 adds proportionately more to a subway trip cost than it does to the price of an LIRR ticket... |
