Might have been interesting to see electric locomotives push/pulling coaches on New Haven and SLE trains.As for this 1996 report about electric locomotives operating off the third rail, I wonder how they imagined that was going to work. Or were the locomotives basically going to run off diesel north of Harlem, thus obviating the whole electrification thing? |
