That's correct.As of today, the Silver Line has two sections -- Phase 1, the Washington Street line between downtown Boston and Dudley Square; and Phase 2, the Waterfront line, beginning in a tunnel at South Station and continuing to Logan Airport via the Ted Williams Tunnel (among a few other destinations.) The two sections of the Silver Line are currently isolated from each other and do not operate as one line. The MBTA is currently studying Silver Line Phase 3, a tunnel connecting the current Phase 2 terminus at South Station with the Phase 1 Washington Street line. |
