Proximity is not a problem but there are probably some infrustructure obstacles to such a transfer, otherwise I would think that it would have been done in 1967 when Grand St opened. Anybody here know why?Actually, I think that the Grand St station only extends northward only to Broome St, a block short of Delancey St. What's puzzling to me is why Chrystie St instead of Bowery itself was chosen to lead the 6th Av Line to the Manhattan Bridge. |
