You mean to carry Port Authority and upper Manhattan/Bronx commuters to lower Manhattan?Yes. If the (E) and (C) flip below W4 St, the (A) would be the only "Blue" service going to Lower Manhattan. People at local stations along CPW would be completely cut off from a one-seat ride to Downtown and would have to jam onto the (A) as would those at NYP and PABT. This would also crush the (1/2/3) for the same reason. The (V) would not join this line until Greenwich Village. |
