"As for Queens someday, I'd like to see them expand subway service OFF Queens Blvd. some more, to ease congestion on those lines. Perhaps a line that once in Queens works its way towards Astoria Blvd. and follows that East..."...or perhaps, a new line in Queens could follow Broadway, stop at new lower levels at the Steinway St. thru Northern Blvd. station stops, then follow Northern Blvd. East. This would give commuters connection to sixth ave via (V) - which would also get them to the (E), 60th St. via (R), and east side via SAS. Anything else they might need, they should be able to get on the other side of the river. This could help divert some of the crowding from Queens Blvd to the new line. |
