What is forgotten is that M riders who want lower Manahattan with an M-V setup can make a same platform transfer to the J train anywhere between Myrtle and Essex Street that both trains stop at.As for riders who use the M from South Brooklyn during rush hours, if you rebuild the connection from old the Nassau Street Loop to the Manhattan Bridge going to Brooklyn, you can then have a new Bay Parkway Loop train start and finish there with such a line going to Manhattan via the Montauge Street tunnel, stopping going northbound only in Manhattan at Broad, Fulton and Chambers and then going back to Brooklyn via the Bridge. That would placate many of those riders. |
