Until this past year, I would agree, and it still likely will never happen, however:With enviormental concerns as they are, coupled with numerous other factors including congestion, plus the mystique the old line still has with some over 50 years after it was torn down (35 years in The Bronx), I could see it being rebuilt given we also seem to have much different attitudes towards mass transit now as opposed to 50+ years ago when the El was torn down. |
