The Orange Line never got past 40 mph and usually did less, the Blue Line certainly did not do anything close to 65 outbound to the airport, though I concede I didn't ride it beyond the airport, so I can't comment about its catenary territory. The Red Line doesn't do 65 across the Charles River Bridge, nor does it do 65 anywhere north of the Charles River. The only place it might do 65 is south of Boston downtown, maybe. As to Philadelphia, the Market-Frankford Line doesn't do 70 anywhere, including the level track in the tunnel where it bypasses 19th and 22nd St stations. The Broad Street local doesn't do anywhere near 70 mph, but the express is pretty respectable at 55-65 but not consistently. So other than being full of shit, what was your point? |
