And *MY* idea for the (H) train follows out of my Myrtle-Fifth Avenue Subway The Myrtle-Fifth would use the new Orange Street Tunnel, while the (H) would use the Pineapple Street Tunnel. The (H) would connect with the IND Fulton line between Court Street (which would remain as the Museum) and Hoyt-Schermerhorn.) The (H) would then OWN the local tracks, and no IND trains would run on them again. I'd spike the switches. The (H) would be local to Euclid. The (A) would be express to the Rockaways, alternating between Far Rock and Rock Park. The (C) (or whatever we might use in those days) would run to Lefferts (actually through to the new Hillside station.)In Manhattan the (H) would run on 9th Avenue to 125th Street. My new routes of course, cannot be integrated with the existing subway system because of its automated operation and its use of linear induction technology. ROAR |
