If done decades ago perhaps, but extending it to Church is probably cheaper and more useful Smith and 9th should never have been used as a terminal to begin with. I have no idea why the IND even did that. It probably was only supposed to be a temporary thing whil the prolonged work to connect the South Brooklyn Subway to the Culver el was dragged out. Unfortunately, that "temporary" terminal became a permanent one. What a ridiculous place to terminate a train. |
