Well, the part of the line out to Greenport is so beat up and not adequately served; they saw better, quicker service in the days of steam trains.Plus, people are allergic to changing trains for some reason, even if it would get them where they were going faster. People whose 'home' stations should logically be the ones on the western third of the Montauk branch are commuting to Ronkonkoma. |
