It's simple capitalism: If these works of graffiti had any economic value, the "artists" responsible for them would already be painting in a legitimate setting and already making money from them. There is no money for the MTA to make here.And in the unlikely event the MTA did make money, they would be better off reinvesting it in the system and not giving one penny to art programs. The MTA is not a charity or social program. |
