I doubt any uproar will ensue. The G has always been the red-headed stepchild of the IND. Its one true claim to fame was its early role as the only train that served the World's Fair line in 1939-40.

The G line stations, especially the ones in Queens, have to be among the most poorly-maintained stations on the IND, if not the entire system.
