"Would have avoided an unnecessary merge."Unless one wanted to run both routes south of 34th St, in which case the merge had to be tolerated, since the express tracks hadn't yet been completed. In principle, the hours of needing two services below 34th should have been fairly easy to align with the hours of BB operation, so the D train really shouldn't have come into it. |
