You can decrease headways without increasing trainsets. Depends on by how much dwell time you have at Court Sq, and by how much you shorten headways. If at the moment, the average G train is scheduled to dwell at CSQ for 10 minutes, you can get the dwell time down to maybe just 5 minutes, which means more service and the same number of trains.Absolutely agreed, but then you have you to increase reliability of on-time performance, since there's less margin for error. So it's definitely possible, but whether it happens or not will depend on their confidence in on-time performance and deviations therefrom. |
