Posted by TransitChuckG on Fri Dec 14 17:20:20 2007 After riding SEPTA with Trolley driver Bill on the 36 inbound, my friend Leon on the 75 , and then back on the 36 outbound, we had some excitement. Harry D.& I were saying what a good operator this was (not Bill) and almost at the end of the trip, some idiot tries to make a right turn along side the trolley. We were approaching Island Road and Lindbergh Blvd. in Philly. The lane the guy was trying to turn from was the center express lane on Island road and there are big NO Right Turn signs at the corner. He started turning into the trolley and hit it. If you look at my quick picture, you will see a red van stuck next to the trolley on the inside. We filled out incident cards and we will back up this trolley driver 100%.Scene of accident  Backed up trolleys headed towards Center City.
