'Deluge' might be too strong a word. When this same GO ran a few weekends ago, service on both legs of the D was considerably less frequent than usual.

No it wasnt..

The Delta ran 7 to 8 minute headways on the North Section..

Same with the South Section...

The reason it was kidna jacked was you had a G.O in the Bronx with Flagging (4 flagmen) set up from 161 st to just north of 167th Street, so service was delayed going North.

Then you had the Delta's going local from 145th Street to West 4th Street. Then you add going over the 8th Ave Line and West 4th Tower NOT giving any train a Line-up until they ID'd themselves on the radio..

Probably one inner track at 2nd Avenue for D layups and the other for V layups. This is one time when the 'overbuilt IND' is advantageous.

No Victor Trains were laid up on 2nd Ave..

Both Pockets was used for Road Service..
