'Deluge' might be too strong a word. When this same GO ran a few weekends ago, service on both legs of the D was considerably less frequent than usual.

Probably one inner track at 2nd Avenue for D layups and the other for V layups. This is one time when the 'overbuilt IND' is advantageous.

Of course, that means the vintage train can't take lengthy breaks between runs as it did back in September '04. The crew might have to take lunch at Queens Plaza instead of 2nd Avenue. Is that extra layup track just to the north of QP- the one on which 1979-2001 weekend/late night Gs were laid up- still there? Or was it removed in the wake up the 63rd Street connection?
