Just like Jesus said...no wait...didn't He say the exact opposite? Didn't He say something about the meek being blessed and something about the rich and a needle and a camel. What was that part that he said about the rich Brother?

You mean stuff like "But woe unto you that are rich, for ye have received your consolation" (Luke 6:24)? Of course, there's that parable about Lazarus the beggar and the rich man (Luke 16:19-31).

Of course, riches themselves aren't the sin, but miserliness and avarice. King Solomon certainly didn't live like a pauper, although he originally was humble enough to ask for wisdom instead of riches (as in 1 Kings chapter 3); he went a bit out of control and spent double the amount on his own palace than on the temple of God in Jerusalem, though.
