Looking at the score mark in Bob's 2nd photo the scratch is a key issue.
I wonder how many thousandths of rail are worn at this point. Also, can they keep close tabs on the depth of the "score" on a weekly basis?
So many have posted here that this is not a first time design, and apparently has worked in other areas. All we call do at this point is let it be used and keep watching.

I am not a mechanical engineer,but have worked with them. They must have run numbers on this. Maybe the ramp should have been a tiny bit higher to eliminate the "score"? We don't want that "chisel" effect.

I could be totally off base here, but I really hope this thing works.
