I've been forwarded an email story describing the travails of an innocent Japanese tourist being forced off an Amtrak train by police for taking photos in the train of the scenery outside while the horrified passengers of course did nothing. I suspect the story is probably false or highly exaggerated, since it trowels on the "current administration" talk and starts to make allusions to this being "just like certain European countries during WWII".

What is the current Amtrak policy for taking photos while you are in the train? I will link the policy to all those who were copied, and also to the transit advocate yahoo group that also had it.

I will also forward all this to snopes.com as well.
