Riding the Artens was a real treat for me when they were on the C line. I'm glad that I had the opportunity to ride both GOH R10's and R30's from Rockaway Pk across the flats with the RFW all to myself. I remember being able to tell when an Arten was approaching because I was able to hear and feel the vibrations when the train was one local station away(Clint-Wash or Nostrand approaching Franklin). Riding the C train lost its charm once the R32 dominated and the Arten & Arthirty were put to rest permanently.Lord Vader |
