As far as I can recall, the only MTA Chairman with hands-on operating experience (in nearly 40 years of MTA's existence) was Peter Stangl. A few Chairman were on the MTA Board before becoming Chairman (Harold Fisher, Peter Kalikow, etc.), but they didn't have operating experience.David |
